Portland, OR---The Portland Pickles lost to the Lincoln Potters on Saturday night at Walker Stadium in a game that saw 23 combined runs and 33 combined hits. The Potters ended up taking the game by a final score of 13-10.
Austen Swift had four hits and six RBIs to lead the Potters, and Isaiah Garcia finished with three hits and three RBIS. Jake Boyd and Zach Hoffman each had three hits on the night for the Potters, and Will Law hit a two run home run for Lincoln in the sixth inning. The Potters finished with 20 total hits.
Matt Hardy led the Pickles with three hits and two RBIs, including a solo home run in the seventh inning. Tate Budnick had three RBIs and two hits, including a two run double in the fifth inning. Daniel Lopez also drove in two runs on the night for the Pickles, on a two run double in the eighth inning.
Brock Daugherty (0-1) took the loss for the Pickles, allowing seven earned runs in his first start. Andrew Eppenbach pitched 3.1 innings out of the Pickles bullpen.
Kenneth Pettibone (2-1) earned the win for the Potters, lasting 6.2 innings. Jacob Gomez recorded the final two outs and earned his second save.
The Pickles (11-12) host the Potters (14-9) again on Sunday night at Walker Stadium for the series finale. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05, and coverage will start at 5:00.
