Medford, OR--The Medford Rogues continued to have the Portland Pickles' number on Friday night at Harry & David Field, coming from behind for a 12-5 victory. The Rogues fell behind early, but rallied for eight runs in the third inning, in which they sendttwelve batters to the plate, and never looked back. The Rogues now lead the season series four games to none.
The Pickles scored five runs in the second inning, on a bases loaded walk to Colin Rubino, a sacrifice fly from Tate Budnick, an RBI single from Daniel Lopez, and a two run single from Zander Clarke. However, the Pickles would be held scoreless for the remainder of the night.
Donovan Baldocchi (0-1) took the loss for the Pickles, in his first start. He allowed six earned runs on the night. Pickles pitchers allowed 10 combined walks on the night, including three with the bases loaded.
Alex Isola had three hits and two RBIs on the night for the Rogues, and Dante Gutierrez also drove in two runs. The Rogues scored 12 runs on just nine hits. All nine of the starting batters reached base at least once in the game.
Brett Walker (1-1) earned the win despite allowing five runs in five innings. Four Rogues relievers combined to allow just one Pickles hit in the final four innings.
