Pickles Return Home for Weekend Series

Pickles Return Home For Weekend Series

Everyone looks forward to the weekend, and even more so when the Pickles have a weekend series coming your way right from Walker Stadium. That’s right, after a short road trip to Cowlitz earlier this week, the Pickles will return home to the best crowd in the WCL for a three game weekend series with the Wenatchee Apple Sox. The Pickles are coming off a historic opening weekend where their average attendance reached new heights of about 2,100 fans per game that brought the joy and energy to the stadium as the Pickles were able to win their opening series over Port Angeles.

The festivities begin on Friday night when the Portland faithful try to bring the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands to Walker Stadium for Hawaiian night. With your admittance into the game, fans will receive a Hawaiian themed t-shirt to wear while they cheer on the home nine. That is just the beginning of the fun-filled weekend as Saturday night brings a fan favorite giveaway to Walker Stadium. Everyone’s favorite mascot, Dillon, will have his bobble head giveaway before Saturday Nights game so make sure to be one of the first thousand through the gate in order to receive this one of a kind item. The weekend will conclude on Sunday as the Pickles host Portland Baseball History Night. As the movement to bring a Major League Baseball team to the Rose City is amongst us, we will dive into the history of Americas past time in the city of Portland. The Pickles will host a Civil War era game prior to Sunday nights series finale to help celebrate the many years baseball has been alive and well in the great Northwest city.

Pickles fans, you wont want to miss this fun and exciting weekend of Pickles Baseball. First pitch for Friday and Saturday will be at 7:05pm with the gates opening at 6:05. Sunday on the other hand will be a 5:05pm first pitch, with the infamous Civil War Era game beginning at 3:00. If you haven’t purchased tickets already, single game tickets will be available in the box office prior to each game or call our office for assistance in finding you a seat at the ballpark.
