Drew Stapleton Re-Signs With the Pickles

Drew Stapleton is returning to the mound this summer for the Portland Pickles! The San Jose State right-handed pitcher looks to have another great season competing in the West Coast League and will be a key contributor in bringing a title home to Portland.

Stapleton has seen limited playing time at SJSU, but was a huge addition to the rotation during the 2023 season for the Pickles. He also has an incredibly impressive high school resume, including multiple no-hitters, multiple all-conferences honors, and is overall a winner.

Stapleton has a competitive nature that makes him a force to be reckoned with, as well as being a quality clubhouse guy that the roster can lean on for stability and experience.

Portland Pickles Manager, Mark Magdaleno, had this to say about the signing:

“He was a tough competitor for us last summer. He pitched in leverage innings and got better throughout last summer and we expect him to help us again in 2024. He’s a positive influence in the clubhouse and we are excited he’s back.”
