Portland, OR – January 21, 2025 – The Portland Pickles are proud to announce the arrival of a new United Soccer League 2 (USL2) team to Portland, set to debut for the 2025 season. With the first kick off in May, Portland soccer fans will soon have the opportunity to experience the energy and talent of the country’s top college soccer players, mirroring the way the West Coast League (WCL) showcases the nation’s best collegiate baseball talent.
Details about the team name, logo, and stadium will be unveiled early next month, but excitement is already building. Starting today, fans can join the waiting list for a 6-game season ticket package. Tickets for the inaugural season will be extremely limited, making this a can’t-miss opportunity for Portland’s passionate sports community to be part of history.
“We are incredibly excited to bring a USL2 team to Portland,” said Pickles owner Alan Miller. “We see the rise of this level similar to how college baseball has exploded in the Pacific Northwest. We can't wait to bring Pickle vibes to the soccer world.”
