Carter Delaney Re-Signs With the Pickles

Carter Delaney, UC Davis standout, has re-signed with the Pickles! He makes his return to Portland after an extremely impressive showing against West Coast League competition last summer with a 2.52 ERA and is gearing up for his second season on the mound for the Aggies.

The six-foot-six right-handed pitcher was an All-Big 8 First Team selection at Folsom Lake College before taking his talents to Davis, CA. Carter excels in leverage situations and will be fulfilling a similar role for the Pickles this summer.

Portland Pickles Manager, Mark Magdaleno, had this to say about the signing:

“CD is a returner who threw in leverage situations last season. He knows how to pitch and throw strikes. His pitching coach, Zack Thornton, played at Ventura College when I was there and I know that when he sends me someone, we are getting a throwback-type of player. Great to have him back.”
