Portland, Ore (July 13, 2024) - The Pickles take the series from the Bend Elks after two games, clinching their 11th straight series win, moving their season record to 25-9. The Pickles have gone 8-1 since the midway point of the season and currently sit .5 games behind the Ridgefield Raptors in the South Division of the WCL.

The Pickles surrendered four runs in the top of the second inning but responded in the bottom of the second with three of their own and never looked back. The Pickles offense displayed patience at the plate with some opportunistic hitting to secure the series against the 21-13 Elks, drawing nine walks as a team. Tony Otis (Pacific) ripped his fourth Home Run of the summer and reached base four times in the game, as Carter Frederick (Oklahoma) continued his hot streak since joining the team, moving his summer average to .478, claiming a six-game hit streak.

The Pickles played clean defense, with a committee of five arms combining for ten strikeouts to five walks. Ryder Edwards (George Fox), Noah Luchessi (Sac State), and Josiah Shipley (Clackamas CC) shut down the last five innings on the mound, allowing no hits.

The Pickles look to close out the series with a sweep and win their fifth straight July 14th at 6:05 pm. Get tickets here!
